About the Role About the Team/Service/ Location We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team of Clinical Nurse Co-ordinators within Theatre Services. The successful applicant will be required to work rostered shifts with an on-call component. For more information on living and working in Whanganui. About you You will have strong communication skills and a good command of written and spoken English. Being a critical thinker with the ability to reflect and using your own initiative is imperative. Also, understanding the need for maintaining the highest levels of patient care throughout Theatre Services is crucial. A minimum qualification as a Registered Nurse, and a current expert PDRP or working towards same is required. Post graduate qualification is ideal but continued learning will be encouraged and supported. Internal training and orientation are offered, and further professional development is also encouraged. As a Clinical Nurse Co-ordinator As a Clinical Nurse Co-ordinator of Kimiora Infusion Services, Pre-admission, Day Unit, PACU and Endoscopy Services, your duties will be focused around the safe and efficient delivery of patient care, improving, and maintaining safe, efficient, timely workflow processes through theatres, and the provision and educational support of new and current colleagues in a pleasant and functional environment. This position requires excellent critical thinking skills, the ability to effectively communicate with varied members of the health care team, including the liaison with Palmerston North site.
