About the Role As a Registered Health Clinician within Te Roopu Kimiora, our Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Addictions Service (CAMHS), you will provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and care coordination for tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau experiencing moderate to severe mental health, behavioural, emotional and neurodevelopmental challenges. This is a varied and rewarding role where youll work collaboratively with children, young people, families, schools, community providers and multidisciplinary colleagues to develop meaningful interventions that support positive outcomes. Youll deliver evidence-based therapeutic approaches, coordinate care across services, and help ensure children and young people receive the right support at the right time. A key focus of this position includes supporting tamariki and rangatahi with neurodevelopmental needs. You will undertake developmental screening and comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments, work closely with whānau to strengthen communication, behaviour and development across home and school environments, and facilitate access to health, education and social support services. You will also monitor progress and support medication management where appropriate as part of an integrated care approach. Te Roopu Kimiora is a specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Addictions Service supporting children, young people and their whānau throughout Te Tai Tokerau. You will also have: Current New Zealand registration with a recognised professional body (such as Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work) and a current practising certificate At least two years clinical experience in mental health, addiction services, child and youth health, or a related clinical setting Experience undertaking assessments, managing risk and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions with children, young people and families Knowledge of child development, attachment and neurodevelopmental conditions including autism, ADHB and developmental delays A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, culturally safe practice, and working in partnership with whānau Māori A full New Zealand drivers licence.
