Job Description

As General Manager, you will lead the overall performance of a portfolio of restaurants, with accountability for operations, people, financial results, and compliance. You will drive business growth, operational excellence, and employee engagement while ensuring the highest standards of customer experience and brand delivery. Reporting to the Regional General Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Assistant General Managers, F&B Managers, and Restaurant Managers, delivering strong results across sales, profitability, labour management, customer satisfaction, and team performance. You will play a key role in executing business strategy while championing SSP's values, culture, and reputation across the region. Main Responsibilities: Leadership & People Management Lead and inspire Restaurant Managers and F&B Managers across multiple locations. Build high-performing teams through coaching, development, and succession planning. Drive a positive culture that champions inclusion, engagement, accountability, and operational excellence. Partner with HR on recruitment, performance management, and employee development. Business & Commercial Management Own P&L performance across your portfolio, ensuring sales growth, profitability, and cost control. Monitor labour, inventory, and operating costs to deliver budget and business targets. Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business performance. Build strong relationships with clients, landlords, airports, suppliers, and key stakeholders. Operational Excellence Ensure consistent delivery of brand standards, food safety, compliance, and customer experience. Lead operational audits, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive health, safety, and sustainability standards across all locations. Support the implementation of new systems, technologies, and business improvement projects. Person Specification Proven experience in a multi-site hospitality, F&B, restaurant, or retail operations leadership role. Strong people leader with a track record of developing high-performing teams and driving employee engagement. Commercially astute with experience managing P&L, budgets, labour costs, and operational performance. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams, clients, suppliers, and landlords. Results-driven, hands‑on, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Strong understanding of operational excellence, compliance, food safety, and workplace health & safety requirements. RSA and Food Safety Supervisor certifications required. Relevant qualification in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline preferred.
