About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Allied Health Professional or Nurse to join us as the Clinical Manager for our Adult Community Therapy and Community Stroke Rehabilitation Services. This full‑time position sits within Older Person’s Health and Rehabilitation and provides leadership across two dedicated, interdisciplinary community teams. These services operate within a hub‑and‑spoke model, delivering rehabilitation in the community to support people to remain well and independent in their own homes. As Clinical Manager, you will lead a skilled workforce of allied health professionals, registered nurses, assistants, and administrators. You will be well supported by a network of Clinical Managers, as well as the Service Manager and Allied Health Consultant. Key Responsibilities Provide strong, visible leadership, fostering a positive team culture and aligning staff with organisational goals and vision Support the development and sustainability of high‑quality clinical services, including contributing to policies and procedures Partner with Clinical Team Leaders to identify workforce development needs and enable professional growth opportunities Oversee service delivery, ensuring compliance with organisational standards, and take responsibility for budgeting and FTE management Collaborate with Clinical Managers across Older Person’s Health and Rehabilitation on service improvement initiatives About You You are an experienced clinician with a passion for leadership and service development, confident in managing teams and driving positive outcomes. You will bring: Registration with a relevant Allied Health Professional Board or the Nursing Council of New Zealand, along with a current Annual Practising Certificate At least 5 years’ post‑qualification experience Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop others Strong organisational, communication, and relationship‑building skills A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care Previous experience in a similar position within a community setting is advantageous As some travel is required in this role, a full NZ driver's licence is essential Working at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
