This is a wonderful opportunity for an exceptional Christian leader to serve our community and lead learning while upholding, strengthening, and modelling the school’s Christian character. The successful candidate will have a strong and active Christian faith, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, uphold God’s Word, and a demonstrated pattern of fellowship, church involvement, and Christian service. They will be able to lead, teach, pray, encourage, and serve in ways that are consistent with the school’s Christian character. A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the Special Character of the school is a condition of appointment. The principal will be a teacher-leader and is able to lead high-quality teaching and learning in a Christian school context. Recent experience in New Zealand education, senior school leadership experience, and a clear understanding of both Special Character and state-integrated school requirements are strongly preferred. The school shifted to a new purpose‑built site in 2024 and is growing steadily. Its current roll is approximately 76 students, with a maximum approved roll of 120. The principal role will include a teaching component. The next principal will have the opportunity to lead staff, students, and the wider school community through a significant season of growth, strengthening, and development. Applicants should be culturally competent, well suited to the Northland context, and willing to become part of the life of the local Christian community. Experience as a principal, deputy principal, or senior leader would be an advantage, as would experience in learning support, and leading school growth.
