Job Description
Jacobs is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer (Data Centres) to lead our ANZ Advanced Facilities team in delivering high‑impact projects across Australia and New Zealand. This role combines technical leadership, client engagement, business growth, and mentorship of junior engineers. Responsibilities Lead technical design and delivery for hyperscale, colocation and mission‑critical facility projects. Direct multidisciplinary design teams through all project stages from concept to commissioning and handover. Ensure engineering quality, innovation and consistency across all deliverables. Provide technical governance, peer reviews and definitive sign‑off on critical documents. Support design management activities balancing technical excellence, commercial outcomes and risk. Qualifications Extensive experience delivering complex electrical engineering projects in data‑centre, mission‑critical or advanced facilities environments. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams on large, complex projects. Strong understanding of electrical systems in mission‑critical settings. Demonstrated experience working directly with major clients and stakeholders. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. Commercial awareness of project delivery, risk management and business development. Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) and relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
