Are you an experienced in-home sales professional who knows how to build rapport, manage a consultative sales process, and confidently close business? We're representing a long-established New Zealand interiors business seeking a polished and commercially minded Sales Consultant to join their team across the Hawke's Bay and Gisborne region. This role focuses on working directly with homeowners, helping them transform their spaces through tailored interior solutions across curtains, blinds, shutters and soft furnishings. This is not a retail counter role. It suits someone who enjoys being out with clients, managing their own territory, and delivering a premium customer experience from consultation through to installation coordination. The role combines relationship management, technical confidence and commercial sales capability. You'll be supported by warm leads, while also being encouraged to build referral relationships and generate additional opportunities across your territory. About You You may come from: Curtains, blinds, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms or renovations High-end retail or residential interiors Building products or in-home consultative sales Territory sales, trade sales or consultative customer-facing roles To be successful, you'll likely bring: Proven experience in consultative or in-home sales Strong relationship-building and closing ability Confidence working autonomously across a regional territory Professional presentation and communication skills Strong organization skills and the discipline to follow through on quotes, administration and customer communication Experience converting warm leads, generating referrals and undertaking successful business development Previous window furnishings experience is advantageous; however, experienced consultative sales professionals from aligned industries are strongly encouraged to apply. A Gisborne or nearby location would be ideal for this role, although candidates across Hawke's Bay and surrounding areas will also be considered.
