Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau | Welcome to our Fulton Hogan Family We’re looking for a driven Project Engineer to join our Auckland based Heavy Civils & Structures team on some of the region’s most exciting infrastructure projects. If you enjoy complex engineering challenges and delivering lasting public assets, this role is for you. The Work You’ll Be Doing Our Civil business specialises in reinforced concrete and heavy civil infrastructure . Play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil construction projects. Our Project Engineer bridges the gap between design, planning, and construction, ensuring that civil projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standard. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your engineering expertise while contributing to meaningful projects that benefit communities. This diverse portfolio, will include work in the following areas: Deep shaft construction for pump stations Bridge retaining walls and complex structural works Underpasses and transport structures Major infrastructure projects such as Papakura to Drury and upcoming Water Infrastructure projects Tunnelling works and confined-space structures Wastewater treatment plants and water treatment facilities Wharves, bridges, storage tanks and pipelines In addition to the above you will: Manage the teams and sub-contractors within your area and coordinate with other teams to ensure optimisation of resources and efficiency Plan the execution of the works and develop construction methodology for all elements of the works Provide a monthly forecast of cost to complete to the commercial manager, and an estimate of the work completed in terms of percentages complete to the planner Provide technical advice and resolve on-site issues as they arise Maintain a safe and tidy site, assisting in the development of management systems and ensuring compliance within your team Monitor expenses, process invoices, and contribute to financial reporting. We’re looking for someone with: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at NZQF Level 7+ Have 5 years’ experience with Structures / Heavy Civil experience Have a portfolio that includes bridges or/and treatment plants and pipelines Hold proven experience in programming and managing budgets Excellent leadership qualities Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills All successful candidates must undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
