About the job We’re looking for an experienced Traffic Management Lead to join our team in Auckland . As our Traffic Management Lead, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and planning traffic management activities for both reactive and scheduled works. Working alongside operational teams, you’ll ensure work is planned efficiently, resources are available, approvals are in place and traffic management services are delivered safely and to a high standard. The role involves Planning & coordinating traffic management activities across multiple work sites. Designing and reviewing traffic management plans Coordinating Road Controlling Authority (RCA) approvals and communications Leading day to day planning, scheduling, and dispatch of work crews Managing the traffic management work programme and booking incoming work Supporting the transition to the Risk-Based Approach (RBA) model Building strong relationships with the public and stakeholders What you’ll need Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 2-5 years’ experience in traffic management or similar operational roles. Strong knowledge of NZGTTM, CoPTTM and the Risk-Based Approach (RBA) Excellent planning, communication and coordination skills Confidence working with diverse teams and engaging with the public. A full class 1 driver’s license. Committed to creating a healthy and safe working environment.
