Role Description The Senior Process Engineer is a full‑time, on‑site role based in our Hamilton, New Zealand office, reporting to the Group Technical Director. This position in the Group Technical team is responsible for leading process engineering activities from feasibility studies through detailed design, commissioning, and performance optimization. Day‑to‑day tasks include developing and reviewing process designs and calculations, specifying equipment, preparing process flow diagrams and P&IDs, and ensuring effective process control strategies. The Senior Process Engineer will perform technical analysis, support troubleshooting and root‑cause investigations, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, contributing to best practices, and supporting continuous improvement across projects. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Process Design and Process Engineering, including experience with PFDs, P&IDs, sizing, and specification of equipment. Candidates should possess solid Process Control knowledge, including control strategies, instrumentation, and integration with automation systems. Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, perform calculations, and solve complex technical problems. Candidates should possess a foundation in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline, ideally with relevant industrial project experience. Experience in food & beverage, industrial, pharmaceutical, or wastewater processes, including familiarity with applicable standards and regulations, is mandatory. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead projects or workstreams, mentor junior engineers, and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related field; professional registration or pursuit of registration is an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
