Senior Reporting AnalystRole type: Permanent, full-timeLocation: Wellington CitySalary band & range: GSR D: $102,953 - $120,365 depending on skills and experienceAbout the Role - Korero mo te TurangaThis is a unique opportunity to combine financial expertise, portfolio analysis, and business partnering in a role that directly supports investment decisions across MPI's Agriculture & Investment Services Directorate.Working across a complex portfolio of departmental and non-departmental funds, you'll transform financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support governance, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. You'll also help improve reporting frameworks and build analytical capability across the business.Key responsibilities include:Lead fund performance and financial reportingDeliver portfolio insights and executive reportingSupport budgeting, forecasting and variance analysisImprove reporting tools, frameworks and data qualityPartner with leaders on investment decisions and governanceAbout You - MouYou'll be a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with large datasets, improving reporting processes, and delivering insights that influence decision-making.This role will suit someone currently working in a Chartered Accounting, Finance Business Partner, Management Accounting, Financial Analysis, or Senior Reporting role who is looking to apply their expertise across a diverse and high-profile investment portfolio.You will bring:Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent financial expertiseAdvanced Excel capability, including complex modelling and analysisStrong financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting experienceExperience using Power BI or similar reporting platformsAbility to translate complex data into clear business insightsYou do not need to meet every requirement to apply.
