Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Bring your energy, innovation and heart to our small rural kura! Pukekawa School is a supportive, close-knit community with approximately 85 tamariki and four classrooms. We’re 15–20 minutes from Tuakau and about 25 minutes to Pokeno. About the role Teach a composite Year 4–6 class as part of a high-functioning, hard-working team committed to engaging learners and lifting achievement. Have strong behaviour management strategies and expectations. Take full responsibility for the William Pike Leadership Programme. Plan and lead the Year 5–6 camp in 2028. Our teaching and learning programmes Structured Literacy is our backbone. We use Little Learners Love Literacy, The Code, and The Writing Revolution 2.0. We are transitioning to Mathletics as our core maths resource, with Numicon continuing in junior classes. You’ll join a small, collaborative staff who share ideas, problem-solve together and celebrate progress. About you NZ registered teacher with full registration, or a beginning teacher working towards it. Has completed structured literacy professional development and can show impact on student progress. Confident, organised and proactive with EOTC and leadership responsibilities. Innovative, reflective and relentless about raising achievement in reading, writing and maths.
