About the Role\nWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Endocrine Surgeon to join our General Surgery team at Christchurch Hospital, one of the South Island’s major tertiary referral centres.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a busy and progressive surgical service, providing specialist care across the full spectrum of endocrine surgery, including thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and complex endocrine pathology. The successful candidate will work closely alongside a multidisciplinary team including endocrinologists, radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, and specialist nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient-centred care.
\nIn addition to your endocrine practice, you will contribute to the wider General Surgery acute roster, elective services, teaching, and service development. There are strong opportunities for research, innovation, and quality improvement.
About the Team / Service / Location\nThe General Surgery Department at Christchurch Hospital is a large, collaborative, and highly skilled team delivering specialist and acute surgical care across the Canterbury region and wider South Island.

About You\nAs an Endocrine Surgeon, you will:

- Hold (or be eligible for) vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in General Surgery \n
- Have recognised fellowship training and expertise in endocrine surgery \n
- Demonstrate commitment to high-quality patient care and clinical excellence \n
- Be comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team \n
- Have an interest in teaching, service development, and quality improvement \n
