Job Description
Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Kelston Girls' College is seeking a passionate, relational, and collaborative educator to join our team as a Learning Support Coordinator (LSC). This position is responsible for building capability in inclusive education across the kura. The coordinator will act as a vital connector within the school and the wider learning support network, working closely with Te Arahanga Pathway, classroom teachers, whānau, and external specialist agencies to ensure that every student with diverse learning needs receives timely, culturally responsive support. Key areas of leadership include: Inclusive practice and mentoring Systematic identification Support and agency liaison Transition management The successful candidate will be an expert in inclusive education and differentiated pedagogy, possess a deep understanding of diverse learning profiles and neurodiversity, and be a dedicated advocate for student agency. The Learning Support Coordinator will be a lead communicator who can navigate funding and specialist networks with professional excellence, a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and active respect for our partnership with Te Kawerau ā Maki.
