Job Description
Orthopaedic Surgeon – Part Time (0.2 FTE) Fixed term, 6 months, commencing August2026. Based in Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty. About the Role Join Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty to support the delivery of high‑quality orthopaedic care to the Bay of Plenty region across Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospitals, including acute and planned care and on‑call commitments. About the Team / Service The Bay of Plenty Orthopaedic Department offers a comprehensive suite of general and specialised orthopaedic services. It is staffed by 16 surgeons, 4 SET trainees, 9 pre‑SET registrars, regular fellows, house officers, and hosts medical students from the University of Auckland. About You Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent. Eligibility for an Annual Practicing Certificate with a vocational scope of Orthopaedic Surgery with the Medical Council of NewZealand.
