About the Role We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Plastic Surgeonsto join our busy tertiary Plastic Surgery Service at Christchurch Hospital. As a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, you will providecomprehensive specialist care across a broad range of plastic surgery services,working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to deliveringoutstanding patient care. Your role will include outpatient clinics, elective andacute operating, inpatient management, participation in the acute on-callroster, multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, teaching andsupervision of junior medical staff, and opportunities to contribute toresearch and service development. You'll enjoy a varied workload in a tertiaryreferral centre with exposure to complex and interesting cases. About the Team / Service / Location The Christchurch Plastic Surgery Service providescomprehensive tertiary and secondary plastic surgery care to Canterbury and thewider South Island. The department delivers expertise across trauma, burns,skin cancer, reconstruction, hand surgery, breast reconstruction, paediatricplastic surgery and microsurgery, while supporting a strong teaching andresearch culture. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Vocationalregistration (or eligibility for vocational registration) with the MedicalCouncil of New Zealand in Plastic Surgery Acurrent Annual Practising Certificate or eligibility to obtain one Broadexpertise in Plastic Surgery, including trauma, burns, skin cancer,reconstructive surgery, hand surgery and acute care Fellowshiptraining appropriate for a tertiary teaching hospital, with a subspecialtyinterest welcomed Acommitment to teaching, clinical excellence, quality improvement andmultidisciplinary teamwork Excellentcommunication skills and a patient-centred approach to care.
