Job Description
Job Description Reporting to the Health and Wellbeing Advisory Lead, the Occupational Health Specialist provides expert occupational health advice and guidance to help identify and manage workplace health risks, while promoting the health, wellbeing, and fitness for work of our people. Working alongside HSW Advisors and leaders, you will provide guidance on complex occupational health matters, including health risk assessment, monitoring, and workplace adaptations. You will also contribute to the development of occupational health programmes, standards, and organisational initiatives, while building capability across the organisation through specialist guidance, education, and knowledge sharing. This is a part‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity, working 20 hours per week. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: Recognised qualification in Occupational Health, Nursing, or Health Sciences with a current practising certificate. Proven background managing occupational health risks and workplace health programmes within a diverse operational environment. Expertise in fitness for work assessments, rehabilitation, health surveillance, exposure monitoring, and supporting leaders with case management. Understanding of the implications of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, privacy laws, and employment legislation. Ability to build strong relationships with external clinicians, rehabilitation providers, and internal HSW advisors. Experience analysing occupational health trends and data to develop policies and inform preventative health initiatives.
