Te Haeata / The Opportunity In this 6‑month fixed‑term role, you will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Crown Court. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders who interact with the Justice system, including Judges in the courtroom and their chambers, as well as other members of the judiciary. The tasks required in the CRO role include but are not limited to: Court Taking – facilitating the running of the court, including introducing Judges (in English and Te Reo Māori), working closely with them in the courtroom and chambers, managing jurors, and general administration of the court. Case Management – ensuring that the judiciary and case parties have all the information they need, and that logistics are in place to ensure cases are heard in a timely and effortless manner. Customer Service – interacting with customers on any court‑related matter. Customer queries can come in via face‑to‑face, phone, or email interactions, and you will need to be confident with all methods. Willing to learn – legislation and processes in the courts are always changing, and you will be able to adapt and maintain knowledge capital. Resilience – you may encounter sensitive cases and high volume, requiring mental and emotional steadiness.
