We're looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our growing Auckland team and play an important role in the next chapter of Thrive's growth in Aotearoa New Zealand. This role is perfect for a passionate communications professional who enjoys building trusted client relationships, crafting captivating stories and delivering integrated campaigns that earn attention. You'll manage the day-to-day delivery of multiple client accounts, working across earned media, social, influencer and integrated communications while partnering closely with the local team and Thrive colleagues in Australia. Our Auckland office is located in the heart of Auckland. We operate a hybrid working model with three in-office collaboration days and the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days. What You'll Do Client Service & Campaign Delivery Manage the day-to-day delivery of a portfolio of client accounts, building strong relationships and providing exceptional client service. Coordinate integrated campaigns across earned media, social, influencer and digital channels, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on brief and aligned to client objectives. Prepare client reports, meeting agendas and work-in-progress documentation while proactively communicating campaign updates and next steps. Identify opportunities to strengthen campaign performance through strategic thinking, cultural insights and creative ideas. Media Relations, Content & Storytelling Develop compelling media materials including press releases, feature stories, media pitches and briefing documents. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers and content creators across New Zealand. Identify opportunities to generate meaningful earned coverage while supporting integrated communications campaigns across multiple channels. Support the planning and delivery of events, activations and campaign launches with strong attention to detail and seamless execution. Commercial & Operational Excellence Support effective budget management by monitoring project spend, sourcing supplier quotes and maintaining accurate project administration. Complete timesheets, project reporting and month-end requirements accurately and on time. Manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional organisation, attention to detail and high-quality client delivery. Embrace new technologies and Thrive systems to continuously improve ways of working. Business Development & Growth Contribute to new business proposals, credentials and pitch responses by conducting research, developing ideas and supporting presentations. Stay informed on industry trends, emerging cultural conversations and market developments to identify opportunities for clients and the agency. Represent Thrive professionally across the communications industry, building your profile while contributing to the continued growth of our New Zealand business. What You'll Bring 3+ years' experience within a PR or integrated communications agency. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline. Experience delivering integrated communications campaigns across earned media, social and influencer channels. Excellent writing skills with experience producing media releases, pitches, reports and client communications. Established or developing relationships across New Zealand media and influencer networks. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Commercial awareness and an understanding of budgets, campaign delivery and reporting. A proactive, collaborative mindset with a genuine passion for communications and storytelling.
