Applications are invited for permanent positions as a Senior Clinical Educator for experienced Nurse Practitioners with experience in and a passion for nursing practice, education and research. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of courses in the Registered Nurse Prescribing and Nurse Practitioner programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to teaching within the Faculty of Health where the Nursing Team is a growing and key academic group. The successful applicant will provide major contributions to teaching and the delivery of academic courses and programmes, be supported to engage in research activities, and undertake service duties within the health programmes, Faculty and University. The successful candidate will be a New Zealand Nurse Practitioner who has experience teaching at postgraduate level in an advanced nursing practice programme. We recognise that you may prefer a part time academic role that works in conjunction with your clinical position and will be happy to discuss this with you at an interview. You will demonstrate an excellent understanding of the Aotearoa‑New Zealand context and be able to connect this with a strong understanding of bicultural confidence and competence. This role is Christchurch‑based. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in research with colleagues in our nursing team and wider Faculty. Applicants will need to demonstrate the following characteristics: Hold registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current practising certificate Hold a masters’ degree (or doctorate) in Nursing or a related discipline Have relevant clinical experience and professional networks Relevant and effective teaching experience at tertiary level Experience in developing and delivering advanced practice courses via blended delivery. An interest in contributing to collaborative and interdisciplinary research Competency and confidence in bicultural practice, including a commitment to upholding the values, tikanga, kawa and traditions as guided by Ngāi Tūāhuriri, the mana whenua. Ability in te reo Māori me āna tikanga would be an advantage.
