Technology Teacher (Pottery and/ Food Technology) Part time, Long‑term relieving (LTR), FTTE up to: 0.6, Start Date: 20/07/2026 (Sick Leave) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher. Technology. Maramarua School is seeking a practical, enthusiastic teacher to join our Technology Centre, which provides engaging programmes for Year 7 and 8 students from 12 schools across our region. We are looking for someone who can teach food technology, pottery, or ideally both. The successful applicant will create safe, purposeful and hands‑on learning experiences that encourage students to solve problems, develop practical skills and produce outcomes that are fit for purpose. Strengths we value include: Relevant knowledge and practical experience in food technology and/or pottery Strong classroom management and a commitment to workshop and food safety The ability to plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured practical programmes Positive relationships with intermediate-aged learners Sound organisation, assessment and reporting skills A willingness to work collaboratively within our technology team Professionalism and high expectations A current practising certificate is preferred.
