This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a senior registered nurse who is passionate about patient-centred care, quality improvement, and developing high-performing teams. Working in partnership with the Charge Nurse Manager, you will provide clinical and operational leadership across our coordinated outpatient clinics, supporting the delivery of safe, efficient, and equitable care for thousands of patients across a range of specialist services. About the Service Our Outpatients Service provides coordinated care across a diverse range of specialties, including: Specialist Surgical and Medical Multidisciplinary Clinics Women's Health and Children's Health Surgical Pre-admission Services You will play a key role in supporting the continued development of our coordinated clinics model, ensuring patients receive timely, seamless, and high-quality care. About the Role As Associate Charge Nurse Manager, you will: Provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership across outpatient services. Support workforce planning, rostering, staff development, and professional growth. Promote excellence in clinical practice, patient safety, and quality improvement. Lead service improvement and change management initiatives. Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and specialty services. Support the implementation and ongoing development of innovative outpatient models of care. Champion equitable health outcomes and culturally safe practice. About You You will be a confident and approachable nursing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting teams to deliver outstanding patient care. We are looking for someone who has: Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate. Demonstrated nursing leadership experience. Strong clinical credibility and commitment to evidence-based practice. Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Postgraduate qualification completed or actively working towards completion. A current professional portfolio (PDRP), or working towards this. You'll Also Bring Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong operational and organisational abilities. Experience supporting change and continuous improvement.
