A exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Auckland team. About the Role Reporting to the Associate Director – Building Surveying, you will deliver high-quality consultancy services across commercial, retail, private, and public sector projects. Your work will focus on investigation, reporting, and problem-solving to help clients achieve their objectives, while adhering to recognised codes and standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver accurate and thorough building surveys and professional reports Manage client relationships and provide exceptional service Ensure work aligns with RICS standards and internal quality processes Take ownership of project deliverables, timelines, and billing Promote Hampton Jones’ services to clients Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Mentorship of junior staff About You 5+ years’ experience delivering professional consultancy services Degree (or higher) in Building Surveying or a related discipline RICS and/or NZIBS qualified Confident working independently and within a team, including leading site visits and engaging with clients Strong investigation and report writing capability Excellent communication skills with a client focused approach Well organised, with strong time management and the ability to manage workload and billing effectively Experience on both Weathertightness investigation and reporting and commercial building surveying.Some experience with dispute resolution of benefit.
