The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join NZBS as a Therapeutic Nurse within our growing Therapeutic Services team. Working in partnership with our multidisciplinary clinical team, you will deliver specialised, patient-centred care across therapeutic apheresis and therapeutic venesection. You will play an important role in supporting patients with complex clinical needs while contributing to the development of a sustainable, equitable and nationally consistent therapeutic service. This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to develop highly specialised clinical expertise while working alongside experienced nurses, medical specialists and healthcare providers across New Zealand. You will also contribute to service development, quality improvement activities and the future growth of therapeutic services nationally. Key Responsibilities – What You'll Be Doing Deliver safe, evidence-based and patient-centred therapeutic nursing care in accordance with professional standards and clinical guidelines. Perform specialised therapeutic procedures, including therapeutic apheresis and therapeutic venesection, following appropriate training and competency assessment. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans and provide ongoing patient education and support. Build effective relationships with patients, whānau, referring clinicians, Health New Zealand services and primary care providers. Participate in an on-call roster to ensure availability of specialist services. About You – What You'll Bring We're looking for a Registered Nurse who combines strong clinical practice with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will bring: Clinical experience within acute, community or specialist healthcare settings. Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer service skills. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making abilities. A commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement and professional development.
