Registered Nurse - Children's Ward Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital Fixed Term until September 2027, Part - Time 48 Hours per fortnight 0.6 FTE This is an exciting fixed - term opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their whānau while growing your paediatric nursing career within a supportive, collaborative, and patient - focused team. About the Role As a Registered Nurse in the Children's Ward, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, family‑centred care to infants, children and young people. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will complete comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, provide evidence-based interventions, and support patients and their whānau throughout their healthcare journey. About the Team/Service/ Location Our Children's Ward team in Hastings is committed to providing safe, compassionate and high‑quality care for children, young people and their whānau across Hawke's Bay. We work collaboratively with medical, nursing, allied health and support services to deliver responsive, whānau‑centred care and achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients. About you As a Registered Nurse, you will bring a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a commitment to supporting tamariki and their whānau. Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate. Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and build positive professional relationships. Excellent time management, communication and clinical decision‑making skills. IV certification/designation and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Previous paediatric nursing experience and/or a current PDRP portfolio would be highly regarded.
