Primary Care Sales Consultant – Tulsa - South, OK Purpose The Primary Care & Specialty Sales Consultant (SC) is accountable for implementing the sales strategies for an approved Cardiorenal product. Responsibilities of the role include driving demand, clinical education and sales by developing, coordinating, and implementing a strategic business plan for Primary Care Physicians and Nephrologists, primarily in Community settings. The position reports to the CVR Area General Manager (AGM) and will be an integral part of the Area Customer Squad, collaborating closely with Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services and other internal partners to drive US Pharma outcomes. The span of coverage will be within Tulsa - South, OK. Travel up to 50% within the territory. The position is residence based, requiring domicile within the territory. Responsibilities Build and develop professional relationships with primary care, nephrology, endocrinology, pharmacy staff within assigned customers. Drive appropriate utilization of approved cardiovascular and menopause products; work closely with the Customer Squad to generate pull‑through within local payers and community HCPs. Leverage expertise and knowledge of diabetes and menopause marketplace, competitors, industry, and cross‑functional plans to anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges. Provide thoughtful input to sales leadership regarding strategic and tactical planning for territory, area and region. Develop and implement effective customer‑specific business plans and communicate insights to internal stakeholders. Prioritize coverage of physician specialists based on opportunity and potential. Understand customers’ product and business needs and meet them while adhering to Bayer ethics and compliance standards. Anticipate barriers to goal achievement and propose responsible solutions. Handle customer objections effectively and exceed expectations. Occasionally provide training to regional colleagues. Utilize emerging technologies to enhance performance and continuously improve proficiency. Comply with pharmaceutical industry guidelines and regulations, maintaining high ethical standards. Education & Requirements Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in competitive landscapes in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Proven track record of consistent high performance in sales or other relevant experience. Proven track record in developing long‑standing relationships with customers. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership, promoting ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Ability to comply with customer credentialing and safety requirements (e.g., up‑to‑date vaccinations, trainings). Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree is a plus. 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, in primary care and specialty. In‑depth knowledge of cardiovascular and/or diabetes and/or menopause disease states. Product launch experience. Strong analytical and computer capabilities. Virtual sales experience. Strong local relationships with HCPs and understanding of local market. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $120,960.00 – $181,440.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission.
