Invercargill Closing date: 31 July 2026 Reference: 1104170 Southern Cross Invercargill Hospital is the southernmost private surgical hospital in the Southern Cross network, widely known and used by people throughout the Southland and Queenstown‑Wakatipu basin areas. Our hospital features advanced theatre systems, including robotic orthopaedic surgery. We provide excellent care to 4,200 patients per year through elective surgical services such as Breast, Endoscopy and Gastroenterology, General, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Oral and Maxillofacial, Orthopaedic, Ear Nose and Throat, and Urology surgery. We are looking for a friendly, organised and customer‑focused Receptionist to join our team in a permanent part‑time role working 27.5 hours per week. As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, specialists and staff, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience while ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day operation of our front‑of‑house and administration services. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll provide exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone, support patient bookings and referrals, maintain accurate records and documentation, process accounts and invoices, and provide general administration support across the hospital. Working closely with clinical and non‑clinical teams, you'll help ensure a seamless experience for our patients while supporting the efficient operation of the hospital.
