We are looking for an organisedand customer-focused Clinical Administrator to join our Children's Outpatientsteam at Christchurch Hospital. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role inensuring patients receive timely access to healthcare services througheffective appointment coordination, patient administration, and waitlistmanagement. About the role As a Clinical Administrator, you will provide high-qualityadministrative and patient booking support to clinicians, patients, and whānau.Your work will help ensure outpatient appointments, inpatient admissions, andwaitlists are managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with servicestandards and national health targets. No two days are the same. You'll be coordinatingappointments, managing competing priorities, communicating with patients andclinical teams, and ensuring patient information remains accurate acrossmultiple systems. As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claimsettlement this role has been mapped to National Band 4/Profile 4 Step 1 to 3(final placement step is dependent on skills, knowledge and experience) For further information about the administration andclerical pay equity settlement please follow the link below: Welcomeand support patients attending outpatient appointments Coordinateoutpatient appointments, diagnostic tests, procedures, and inpatientadmissions Maintainaccurate patient records and demographic information Manageand monitor waitlists to support equitable access to healthcare services Communicateappointment information clearly and professionally to patients and whānau Ensurebooking practices align with service guidelines, business rules, andperformance targets Supportthe efficient utilisation of clinics and inpatient capacity Workcollaboratively with clinicians, managers, and administration colleagues Contributeto service improvements and continuous quality initiatives About you You will be a highly organised administrator who enjoysworking in a fast-paced environment and thrives on delivering excellentcustomer service.
