Job Description
Overview Permanent, part‑time (0.6 FTE) Physiotherapist for Kidz First Child Development Team (CDT). The team works with children aged 2–16 years who have conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, global developmental delay, muscular dystrophy, chromosomal abnormalities and spina bifida. The role is based at Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora). Responsibilities Assess, diagnose and treat children with neurodevelopmental and physical conditions. Partner with whānau and collaborate with occupational therapists, speech‑language therapists, social workers, dietitians and nurses to provide holistic care. Deliver engaging, creative interventions that empower children to achieve their goals. Qualifications NZ registered physiotherapist with a current practising certificate. Recent paediatric experience. Knowledge of neurological rehabilitation (preferably paediatric). Full, clean driver’s licence. Strong clinical reasoning, excellent facilitation skills and a passion for paediatrics. Benefits Supportive team culture with experienced clinicians and leaders.
