Job Description

About the Role As a Risk Advisor, you will be part of NZ Post’s enterprise-wide second-line risk function, providing independent risk advice, challenge and assurance across the organisation. You will work across value streams, platforms and functions, supporting leaders to identify, understand and manage risk while maintaining independence as a trusted second-line partner. Based in Auckland or Wellington, you will have the option for hybrid working. Responsibilities Provide independent risk advice, challenge, and partnership to stakeholders across NZ Post. Support risk identification, assessment and risk‑based decision‑making. Drive consistent application of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework through education, workshops and capability uplift. Contribute to the enterprise assurance programme, including assessing control design and effectiveness. Identify and communicate emerging, systemic and cross‑functional risk themes. Build strong relationships with stakeholders while maintaining independence as a second‑line function. Provide risk and assurance reporting, insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Qualifications 5+ years’ experience in risk management, including a second‑line risk environment. Strong understanding of risk concepts, trends and enterprise risk management principles. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build trusted stakeholder relationships. Reputation for building collaborative relationships and achieving results through partnership. Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a broader team.
