Join us in making a difference in your community! About us | Mō mātou ‘Here to help u’ is part of social service NGO Wise Group and makes getting the right help, at the right time, easy. Through our digital technology, virtual team and community of service providers, ‘Here to help u’ connects people easily and safely to the help they need be that food support, mental health support, budgeting, advocacy, or employment support, via a blend of smart technology, and supportive, connected conversations. As a Kaipaihere/Connector, you are the first real person point of connection for whānau seeking support via our website and 0800 number. You take the time to understand their needs holistically, honouring their mauri and mana, and navigate them to the free support they need and want in their local community via a single supportive conversation. Our portal allows you to seamlessly manage these referrals to our ecosystem of local services. In addition to your connected whānau conversations, part of your role will see you manage a portfolio of Community Providers including charities, health services, community services, kaupapapa Māori services and more, acting as a key relationship manager and supporting their needs with our referral platform. This role can be between 0.6-1.0 FTE full or part time to suit the applicant, and is based in Hamilton, with flexible working options. In this role, you will: Contribute to our reputation for excellence and innovation through delivering high quality service, and by seeking opportunities to continuously support the work that we do Provide support to the ‘Here to Help U’ team to deliver an efficient, top-quality service Build and maintain relationships with Community Providers, ensuring sustainable connections to continue to provide assistance easily and safely, including identifying and on-boarding new Providers and Referrers when required Represent ‘Here to help u’ at community events, engaging with whānau and providers to promote and share our mahi Be committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supporting equitable outcomes for Māori. We strongly encourage applications from candidates with experience in Kāupapa Māori approaches and/or working with Māori. Relevant experience supporting people in the community, with experience in front-line services for health or social services You have a Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing, or Mental Health or higher or similar relevant qualification You have an understanding of Te Ao Māori in context of health and social services, genuine commitment to Te Tititi o Waitangi, in particular to driving equitable outcomes You’re empathetic and caring towards others Confident and passionate connecting with other community service providers, with strong communication and engagement skills for relationship management You’re adaptable and have great problem-solving skills You’re able to focus to “Listen, Connect, Act” You have a whānau-focused approach and ideally have experience with Hauora Māori services You have strong computer and technical skills and an ability to learn new systems quickly Increased Employer KiwiSaver contribution Fifth Week of Annual Leave Paid Wellbeing Days (two days a year) Flexible Work Arrangements Extraordinary Payment Card - $250 per year to support Health and Wellbeing for you and your whānau Closing Date | Rā katinga: 10 August 2026.
