About the Role As the Mana Ake Clinical Programme Lead, you will provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for Mana Ake the Wellbeing in Schools programme across Te Tai Tokerau. This is a key leadership role focused on supporting high-quality, culturally responsive wellbeing services for tamariki aged 5-12 years, their whānau, schools and communities. You will lead and support a team of Kaiārahi and partner organisations, providing clinical guidance, coaching and mentorship to ensure consistent, safe and effective service delivery. Working closely with schools, iwi, NGOs, Ministry of Education, health providers and community partners, you will help shape and grow a programme that is making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and whānau across Northland. Mana Ake is a collaborative wellbeing programme that supports the emotional wellbeing of children in primary and intermediate schools across Te Tai Tokerau. Working alongside education, health and community partners, the programme focuses on early intervention, building resilience and strengthening support networks for tamariki and whānau. Working out of one of the four Northland community sites and part of the Mental Health and Addiction Service, you’ll join a dedicated team committed to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori, Pacific peoples and diverse communities across Northland. For more information on living and working in Northland click here About you As an experienced health professional and leader, you will bring a passion for child wellbeing, clinical excellence and collaborative service development. You will have: Registration as a Health Practitioner with a current practicing certificate and the ability to practise in a mental health setting At least 7 years post-registration experience, including a minimum of 3 years working within child and youth mental health services Proven experience providing clinical supervision, leadership, coaching and support to multidisciplinary teams Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, cultural safety and working effectively with Māori, Pacific peoples and diverse communities Excellent relationship-building, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across health, education and social service sectors Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
