About the role As a Category Intern, you’ll join the Merchandise Category team, supporting how products are ranged, priced, and promoted across our retail banners PAK’nSAVE, New World, and Four Square. You’ll work closely with a Category Manager and the wider team, using data and insights to help grow your assigned category and support both internal teams and external partners. Key responsibilities Support the Category Manager with marketing and promotional activity planning and recommendations. Run sales performance reports and build simple Excel templates to analyse results, trends, and opportunities. Gather and summarise competitor activity to help inform category decisions. Work closely with the wider team to communicate product changes and updates. Help manage promotional errors and support clear communication with stores when fixes are needed. About you You’re curious, motivated, and keen to learn how retail merchandising and category management works. You enjoy working with data and are comfortable using tools like Excel to analyse information and spot opportunities. Strong attention to detail is key for this role.
