Start here: Discover your career with Foodstuffs North Island About the role We are looking for an Account Payable Interns. In this role you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, supporting reconciliation activities, resolving financial queries, and contributing to projects that improve processes, systems, and ways of working. Key responsibilities Support the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions across Foodstuffs North Island. Respond to Member and customer account queries through the FSNI service portal, ensuring a high standard of customer experience. Contribute to data analysis and reporting to identify process issues and opportunities for improvement. Support team initiatives including project work, process improvements, automation, and cross‑team collaboration. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, Members, and vendors. About you You’re organised, detail focused, and enjoy working with numbers and data in a fast paced environment. You bring a customer centric mindset, communicate clearly, and are confident collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders while also taking ownership of your work. You’re comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools, adaptable to changing priorities, and keen to build your experience within finance operations and accounts payable in a large, complex organisation. You’ll have a curiosity to learn, a knack for problem solving and be ready to get stuck in to making a positive impact on New Zealand communities. You’ll ideally be interested in one of the above areas listed and in our application form, you’ll have the opportunity to indicate your preferred roles (you don’t necessarily need to be studying something that is aligned).
