Graduates at Deloitte have a week-long induction to learn about the business, get paired with a buddy and coach to help them find their place in the team, and build connections with almost 200 other graduates doing the exact same thing! You are not on a 'programme' and instead inducted into the business as a key member of the team from day one. Once you sign your contract with Deloitte, you will start in February the year following. Between the application process and your start-date, we have many events and touchpoints, so you feel part of the Deloitte whanau before your first day and are greeted with friendly faces.

About this role:

As an Analyst, you'll work in a creative, supportive, and agile team building the software and systems that help clients run their business better - from customer-facing apps to cloud platforms and mission-critical systems behind the scenes.

Within our team there are many different roles you can fulfil such as:

• Application Development - design, build, and ship modern web and mobile applications that clients' customers and staff use every day
• AI-Assisted Engineering (Generative AI) - use Gen AI coding tools and agents to build software faster and better, and learn how to embed AI into engineering workflows
• Cloud Engineering - help clients migrate to and get the most the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), working with cutting-edge cloud-native technology using infrastructure-as-code and DevOps
• Integration Engineering - connect the systems, platforms and data sources that power clients' business, working with APIs, middleware, and enterprise architecture to make things talk to each other reliably and securely
• Platform Engineering - build and scale the platforms that applications and data run on, using best practices for security, quality, and observability
• Mission-Critical Systems - We keep the systems that save lives and underpin the NZ economy running. We support, extend and modernise these and other systems our clients' businesses can't operate without
• Emerging Technology - get hands-on with new tools and technologies and help bring them to clients

Your typical day will include:

• Writing, testing, and shipping code as part of an agile delivery team, with guidance from senior engineers
• Learning to build and deploy solutions on cloud platforms
• Helping keep clients' systems reliable, secure, and up to date
• Using Gen AI tools to accelerate development and learning how to engineer with AI, not just alongside it
• Working directly with clients to understand problems and turn them into working software

Because our work is project based, you'll be able to work on a variety of activities for different clients to find your feet and grow into your strengths or preferences.

Enough about us, let's talk about you. You are someone with:

• In the final year of a STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Math) Business/Finance/Commerce, or data-related degree or similar
• The personality to thrive in a collaborative environment
• A passion for all things cloud, strategy, data, insights, analytics, and intelligent solutions
• The ability to use available data to conduct analysis and draw basic conclusions
• A resilient attitude and enjoy working on ambiguous problems
• A keen problem-solving streak with an analytical mind
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
