Retail Customer Service Representative

About the role: As a Retail Customer Service Representative, you'll play an important role in ensuring smooth interactions with our customers. From assisting with online orders and account maintenance through to supporting Christmas Club and membership programmes, you'll help create positive outcomes for shoppers and stores alike. Working within a close-knit team, you'll combine administration, communication and problem‑solving skills to ensure requests are handled efficiently, information is captured accurately and every interaction leaves a lasting impression. The role is 80 hours per fortnight, office based at Papanui and our team operates on shifts across Mon‑Sun 7.30am – 8pm. Key responsibilities: Resolve incoming requests and concerns within agreed timeframes across phone, email and live chat functions. Provide guidance on online ordering, membership programmes and website functionality. Process transactions, account updates and records with a high level of accuracy. Monitor feedback and elevate emerging issues to minimise disruption and improve satisfaction. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance team effectiveness. About you: You'll be an organised and approachable communicator who enjoys finding solutions and building trust with others. You work well under pressure, adapt quickly to changing priorities and take pride in delivering quality work. Ideally, you'll also bring: Previous experience in a high-volume contact centre, retail or service environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy. Confidence using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
