Snr Customs Broker

Hellmann NZ is looking for a Senior Customs Broker to join our team in November 2026.

• Manage end-to-end customs clearance, ensuring NZ Customs and MPI compliance
\n
\n
• Prepare and sign accurate declarations (classification, valuation, duties)
\n
\n
• Provide expert advice to customers and internal teams on customs requirements
\n
\n
• Liaise with border agencies to ensure timely shipment clearance
\n
\n
• Resolve clearance issues and maintain accurate documentation
\n
\n
• Support compliance activities and drive continuous improvement
\n
\n

\n
• NZ Customs PIN certified with solid knowledge of NZ regulations
\n
\n
• 5+ years’ experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding
\n
\n
• Strong expertise in classification, valuation, and duty optimisation
\n
\n
• High attention to detail with a compliance-focused mindset
\n
\n
• Strong communication skills and customer focus
\n
\n
• Able to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines
\n
\n
