We’re looking for an experienced Retail Account Manager to join our New Zealand team and drive growth across some of the country's biggest retail names. The Role This role is a high-impact, commercially-focused role responsible for driving sales, profitability, and market share growth across key retail customers in New Zealand. You’ll own strategic relationships with national retailers, lead joint business planning, and ensure best-in-class execution in-store. Experience with Retail, FMCG is highly regarded. What you’ll be doing Identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities across Grocery (Foodstuffs, Woolworths NZ) and Mass/Office (Warehouse Stationery) channels Owning account management and business development for a portfolio of key retail customers Leading range reviews end-to-end - from new line submissions through to ranging outcomes and post-review execution Building genuine, strategic relationships with category managers, buyers, and key decision-makers Developing a sharp read on retailer category strategy, shopper behaviour, and channel dynamics to influence ranging, pricing, and promotions Keeping a close eye on competitor activity to inform commercial strategy Driving profitability through smart pricing, promotional planning, and margin management Delivering against annual sales, revenue, and margin targets Partnering with Trade Marketing, Product Managers, and Supply Chain to nail in-store execution — planograms, displays, compliance, and SIFOT Turning sell-in/sell-out data (Nielsen, Quantium, retailer data) into insights that sharpen forecasts and performance Representing ACCO at line reviews, trade shows, and industry events across NZ About You 7+ years in Account Management with a strong track record of commercial results 5+ years in FMCG, with exposure to major grocery retailers and/or large-format retail Proven experience managing range reviews end-to-end against commercial and execution KPIs Strong commercial acumen, comfortable owning P&L outcomes and interpreting financial data Advanced negotiation skills and a track record of managing major national accounts at head office level A results-driven, autonomous approach and confidence operating in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment Strong presentation skills and the ability to land compelling insights with internal and external stakeholders Intermediate–advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required Why ACCO?
