General Project Superintendent

ConsultANZ is seeking a General Project Superintendent for a leading civil contractor in New Zealand. This senior role will oversee a major marine infrastructure project in Wellington, managing full site delivery across marine and landside works. Main Duties: Lead and run the site delivery of a multi-million dollar marine civil infrastructure project in Wellington, driving construction activities, safety, quality, and programme performance. Oversee works including wharf construction, carparks, utilities, and concrete structures. Manage site teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient delivery. Drive programme, budget, and resource planning to achieve project milestones. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Coordinate with engineers and site teams to resolve technical and delivery issues. Manage client relationships and provide regular progress updates. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. Requirements: 10+ years of civil construction experience, ideally with marine or heavy infrastructure projects. Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams. Good understanding of marine works, concrete structures, and utilities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong focus on safety, planning, and delivery. Competitive salary package $170K–$190K base + car (negotiable depending on experience). Opportunity to lead a major marine infrastructure project.
