Team Leader - Frames & Crushing

About the role We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to lead our Frames & Crushing operation in Manurewa. This newly created role is responsible for a critical operational area supporting both manufacturing and recycling activities across the business. You will be a hands-on leader who provides guidance, coaching, and support, set and manage production priorities, and focus on safety, production efficiency, throughput, continuous improvement, and accurate operational reporting. Responsibilities Set, manage, and achieve daily production priorities, ensuring operational efficiency and throughput targets are met. Provide hands-on leadership, working alongside the team while driving performance, safety, and accountability. Oversee timber frame manufacturing and recycling operations, including material handling, crushing processes, and material segregation. Establish and maintain organized production areas, workflows, and operational standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, workflow, and safety outcomes. Lead, coach, and develop production teams to build capability and engagement. Collaborate with internal departments and key stakeholders to support operational objectives and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Identify, investigate, and follow up on operational issues or process deviations to support continuous improvement and compliance. Maintain accurate inventory, material identification, and FIFO practices while supporting production and recycling targets. Support shift handovers, team communications, and toolbox talks to ensure alignment across the operation. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, including hazard identification, near-miss reporting, and safe work practices. What we're looking for (Qualifications & Experience) Previous experience in a Team Leader, Leading Hand, Supervisor, or similar frontline leadership role. Experience within logistics, warehousing, recycling, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial operations. Flexible to occasionally adjust working hours to engage with afternoon and night shift teams as required. Strong computer literacy with proven experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to establish structure and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees and stakeholders at all levels. A strong commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to promote safe work practices and a positive safety culture. A collaborative team player who builds positive working relationships across multiple departments and stakeholders. Open to learning, adaptable to change, and keen to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
