About the Company Our client is a well‑established New Zealand transport operator experiencing genuine growth, which has expanded its performance reporting and KPI framework. This growth has created a newly established role to help the business meet its reporting obligations and drive commercial performance improvements during an active, high‑visibility stage of its operations. The Role This newly created role will validate performance data, challenge reporting discrepancies, and help lead KPI and contract compliance across multiple significant new contracts. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you’ll work closely with contracts, operations and technology teams to reduce cost recoveries and drive continuous improvement in data quality and service delivery. Key Responsibilities Validate and reconcile operational performance data against external contractual reporting Build strong working relationships with contracts, technology and scheduling teams Prepare and validate monthly contractual performance reports Identify opportunities to reduce cost recoveries through improved data accuracy and operational performance Translate complex data into clear, commercially sound recommendations across audiences up to executive level Lead resolution of real‑time data discrepancies across internal and external teams Partner with Operations Leaders to identify root causes of service performance issues Key Skills & Experience Required Strong analytical background, ideally from commercial, procurement, accounting or finance analyst roles Demonstrated experience translating data into commercial recommendations Confident, resilient communicator comfortable with direct and sometimes difficult conversations Experience interpreting KPIs, contracts or performance frameworks advantageous Ability to work cross‑functionally across commercial, operations and technology teams Strong Excel and systems skills Tertiary qualification in business, finance, data analytics or a related discipline desirable What’s In It For You This is a newly created role with genuine scope to shape how it’s done.
