Overview Service Technician - CE — North Harbour Love working with heavy machinery and solving problems? We're looking for a skilled Service Technician to join our team. Whether you're out in the field or in our well-equipped workshop, you'll use your expertise to keep our customers' equipment running at its best while delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities Carry out service, maintenance and repair work on heavy plant or diesel equipment in the field or workshop to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance. Fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical and electrical issues in a timely and safe manner. Maintain and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace. Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear updates and service recommendations. What You Bring (Qualifications) Trade qualified in Diesel / Heavy Plant or equivalent with relevant experience. Capable of working independently in the field and solving problems in varying situations. Ability to fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues. Full driver\'s licence with F, W, T, R (preferred but not essential). Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Computer skills; basic knowledge of Windows 365 is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. A positive \'can-do\' attitude with a proven record of working well in a team. Welding and fabrication experience is highly regarded and beneficial for this role.
