Data Collection Specialist Regional | Matanga Kohi Raraunga (Survey Interviewer)

Location : Gisborne Role Overview Fixed term part-time position (37.5 Guaranteed Minimum Hours per fortnight). The role is field‑based with regular travel and primarily face‑to‑face interviewing, with occasional phone and email support. It requires a reasonable level of fitness, a full New Zealand driver’s licence, a roadworthy vehicle, reliable internet, and the ability to self‑manage. Responsibilities Work in frontline teams to build relationships with communities and collect data from respondents through their preferred channels. Deliver a positive, trusted, and seamless respondent experience. Engage with communities and households across varied days and hours, including mornings, afternoons, early evenings, and weekends. Qualifications 2+ years of customer service experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focus Confident using Microsoft 365, digital systems, and data entry tools; able to learn new technology quickly Works well independently and in teams with good time management Flexible to work evenings and weekends to suit respondents Benefits Contribute to meaningful work that improves lives across Aotearoa Three extra leave days at the end of the year (taken during the Christmas office closure) Compensation Hourly rate: $30.41 + kiwisaver.
