Clinical Nurse Educator - OPRS

About the Role As a Clinical Nurse Educator (OPRS) you will strengthen the knowledge base of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals by providing high‑quality, contemporary, evidence‑based clinical education within Rotorua Hospital's rehabilitation and long‑term care unit. Working closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will identify educational needs, lead training that enhances nursing standards, and adopt adult learning principles aligned with national and international professional standards. You will champion equitable health outcomes and support Māori‑led approaches to care, forging collaborations across multidisciplinary teams, modelling professionalism, and fostering a culture of innovation, safety and continuous improvement. About the Team / Service / Location The role is aligned to the Professional Development Unit and collaborates with the leadership team of the Older Person Rehabilitation Services to implement an effective education plan. About You Registered Nurse with a current NCNZ practising certificate and relevant postgraduate qualifications. Broad clinical experience, including rehabilitation speciality. Passion for developing the knowledge base of nurses and health care professionals. Regular involvement in clinical teaching or education, with a strong commitment to adult‑learning principles. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and share clinical expertise confidently.
