Overview Blenheim-based role supporting customers across Blenheim and Nelson. Join a diverse, high-performing team helping our customers achieve housing and social stability. Permanent role with 5 weeks of annual leave and insurance benefits. Responsibilities Work directly with a portfolio of customers and their whānau, building enriching and enduring relationships to meet housing and wellbeing needs. Support low to medium needs customers and manage disruptive behaviour situations with courageous conversations as required. Visit customers at Kāinga Ora homes and attend meetings with key stakeholders to ensure tailored support and services remain in place; travel throughout the region. Work with tenants on rent arrears and debt collection/recovery. Manage a customer portfolio across Blenheim and Nelson with regular travel between locations. Collaborate with internal teams to transform community outcomes and deliver effective housing support. Qualifications and Skills Strong relationship-building ability, able to relate to customers from diverse backgrounds. Skilled at de-escalating highly emotional situations with problem-solving capabilities. Experience or comfort working on rent arrears and debt recovery. Technical savvy with the ability to quickly learn new tools and systems. Experience in tenancy, emergency, or social housing is advantageous. Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act 1986 is advantageous. Demonstrates care for customers and a genuine desire to support those with challenging housing and wellbeing needs. Cultural awareness to foster an aligned approach with Māori and Pasifika communities.
