Our Protective Security Unit (PSU) is growing its capacity and capability. We have exciting opportunities for Protective Security Officers to join our team in Auckland and Wellington. If you are keen to join a collaborative and supportive workplace where diversity is valued - then read on!The starting salary for this role is $61,647 (+ benefits).Our Protective Security Officers (PSOs) are the core element of this team, providing a 24/7, 365-day protective security service to the New Zealand Intelligence Community which protects our information, personnel and assets.With the right training or experience, this is a role where you can succeed.In this role you will:Respond to security incidentsDeter, detect and delay unauthorised intrudersProvide reassurance to the workforce, responding and supporting during emergency situations, at all times delivering a professional serviceHave the opportunity to work at other sitesYou will be required to work rostered shifts to maintain our security service - which entitles you to generous shift work allowances. This also provides a good work life balance.Selection processIf you are shortlisted and progressed through the selection process, you can expect a variety of activities, including video and psychometric testing, an assessment centre and interview.If shortlisted, you will need to attend a full day Assessment Centre in central Wellington or Auckland in October/November. We will confirm a specific date closer to the time.Who we're looking forThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone with integrity, resilience and sound judgement.Prior experience in a frontline or customer service role is a bonus, as well as knowledge and experience with various computer systems.
