Deliver fun, safe swim lessons that build water confidence, skills, and safety for learners of all ages. Make a real difference by helping tamariki and whānau develop confidence, water safety skills, and a lifelong love of the water. We are looking for motivated and engaging Learn to Swim Instructors to deliver high-quality swimming and water safety lessons across our aquatic facilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in improving water confidence and safety within our community. As a Learn to Swim Instructor, you will create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment where swimmers of all ages and abilities can develop their skills and achieve their goals. You will work alongside our Learn to Swim team and report to the Learn to Swim leadership team, who are dedicated to supporting staff development and delivering outstanding programme outcomes. Together, you will help inspire the next generation of confident swimmers. Nā tōu rourou | What you will bring Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Confidence working with children and adults in a group environment A friendly, energetic, and professional approach Strong reliability and time management skills The ability to build positive relationships with swimmers and their families A commitment to water safety and continuous learning Previous swimming teaching experience is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidates. Current Learn to Swim qualifications are advantageous, including: Swimming New Zealand Swim Teacher Qualification First Aid Certificate Water Safety qualifications What we offer Dependant leave – because family matters.
