Venue Attendant: University of Waikato Haumaru Sport & Recreation Centre

Overview Bay Venues is the owner and operator of multiple facilities in Tauranga Moana, including Clubfit gyms, Baywave, Mercury Baypark, and Haumaru Sport & Recreation Centre. Role Venue Attendant — Tauranga, based at University of Waikato Haumaru Sport & Recreation Centre (483 Cameron Road). You will assist in the operation of the Centre, undertake general site maintenance, assist with set up/pack down of sports equipment for leagues, competitions or tournaments and events, perform some reception and customer service tasks, and undertake cleaning of venues and equipment as required. About you Be experienced in this line of work or have worked in a similar environment, proactively managing service delivery. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with a high attention to detail. Have experience delivering exceptional customer service. Be a committed team player who can act proactively. Be physically fit as some heavy lifting is required. Be professional in demeanour and think clearly under pressure. Maintain a high standard of personal presentation. Able to use a computer/tablet competently; reasonably fluent in Microsoft Office. Experience with a leisure management or booking system is advantageous. Current first aid certification is desirable but not essential. Experience in the sport, recreation industry or working with community groups would distinguish you. Hours The hours available are Tuesday to Saturday, as per rostered times. Occasionally hours may extend to weekends during events. Hours are rostered with you ahead of time. Flexibility is essential due to business demands.
