Senior Charge Nurse

Overview An exciting opportunity to lead the in-patient mental health facility within Argyll and Bute. Succoth Ward is a 16-bed facility located within Mid Argyll Community Hospital and Integrated Care Centre in Lochgilphead, serving a remote rural area including 23 inhabited islands on the west coast of Scotland. Responsibilities Provide 24-hour responsibility for continuing care within Succoth Ward. Offer leadership to a team of mental health nurses and health care assistants within the governance framework of the Health and Social Care Partnership, ensuring safe and effective clinical practice and enhancing the patient experience. What we are looking for Be a registered mental health nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Educated to degree level or have equivalent evidence of continuous professional development. Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in a relevant area. Demonstrable expert clinical and professional practice. Ability to maintain professional and personal credibility across all staff groups. Ability to lead teams, lead practice and continuous professional development. Work effectively as part of a multi-professional team. Computer and information literacy.
