Adviser - Bay of Plenty - Halberg Foundation Want to make a positive difference to disabled tamariki and rangatahi by championing inclusive opportunities in sport, play and recreation? We are looking for an energetic individual who has the skills and passion to be able to drive positive engagement in the Bay of Plenty (BOP) region. The Halberg Foundation is an iconic charitable organisation at the forefront of inclusive play, sport and recreation across Aotearoa New Zealand. Join our dynamic team to enact Sir Murray’s vision to enhance the lives of physical disabled young New Zealanders through the benefits of sport and recreation. This role will work to identify opportunities to engage in sport and recreation for young physically disabled New Zealanders. You will deliver various Halberg programmes, including regional and local events, and build strong relationships throughout the community. You will also work alongside your colleagues to deliver Halberg’s national programmes and events. You will need to be able to create, develop and maintain positive, sustainable relationships with families/whānau, schools, key stakeholders and partner organisations. You will be confident in presenting and engaging with people in formal and informal situations both inside and outside of the organisation. This is an exciting and busy role so we are looking for someone who can deliver in a fast-paced environment, where using your initiative and being proactive is encouraged. A resilient individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills is essential for success in this role. This is a great role for someone who has a strong background and experience within the sport, education or health/disability sectors looking to take the next step on their professional journey. Most importantly we are seeking a candidate who can showcase their energy, drive and enthusiasm. This is a full-time role based in Tauranga, however consideration may be given to Rotorua as a base, with some travel expected during the year.
